Australasian Pelvic Floor Procedure Registry - New Zealand
CHOMNZ is working with Health New Zealand to operate a pilot of the Australasian Pelvic Floor Procedure Registry - New Zealand (APFPR-NZ) in Christchurch. The registry will collect information about women undergoing selected pelvic floor procedures in Aotearoa New Zealand.
A pilot of the APFPR-NZ began in Christchurch in late October 2026.
The pilot will include women undergoing certain pelvic floor procedures at Christchurch Hospital, Oxford Women's Health, and Urology Associates.
This pilot will support planning for a national rollout in 2027. The purpose of the pilot is to evaluate and refine registry processes and functions, including:
- data collection pathways
- information resources for patients, surgeons and practices
- governance arrangements.
